Below are the 2 types of welding helmets I use, updated December 28, 2022.
Fixed Shade Welding Helmet
The Jackson fixed shade welding helmet is my favorite helmet. It is a solid welding helmet, with a large viewing area, and a decent price.
It covers your entire face but more importantly with its longer design it also does a great job of covering your neck as well.
It comes with a shade 10 lens but I would opt for the shade 12 or 13 lenses for those with more sensitive eyes.
Auto Dark Welding Helmet
If you don’t like fixed-shade helmets then I recommend the YESWELDER large viewing area auto dark welding helmet.
With 4 main sensors, it’s reliable and will switch between shades almost instantly. Shade settings between 10 to 16 and also allows you to also adjust sensitivity and delay.
Best of all its fairly priced and works better than most of the higher-end brands out there.
