Below are the 2 types of welding helmets I use fixed shade and auto darkening welding helmets. Updated October 19, 2024.
Best Fixed Shade Welding Helmet
The Jackson fixed shade welding helmet is my favorite helmet. It is a solid welding helmet, with a large viewing area, and a decent price.
It covers your entire face but more importantly, with its longer design, it also does a great job of covering your neck as well.
It comes with a shade 10 lens but I would opt for the shade 12 or 13 lenses for those with more sensitive eyes.
Best Auto Dark Welding Helmet
If you don’t like fixed-shade helmets then I recommend the YESWELDER large viewing area auto dark welding helmet.
With 4 main sensors, it’s reliable and will switch between shades almost instantly. Shade settings between 10 to 16 and also allow you to adjust sensitivity and delay.
Best of all it’s fairly priced and works better than most of the higher-end brands out there.
